The Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Crete was founded in 1983 in order to provide Higher Technical Education to the students of Greece. At the moment, the TEI of Crete comprises four schools. The East Mediterranean Technology Transfer Unit (EMTTU) was founded in 2004 by the executives and collaborators of the TEI of Crete. Its objectives include the production, management, and diffusion of knowledge and technology, with a focus on the following areas:
- Innovation management and technology transfer in production systems;
- Operational planning and modernisation of enterprising processes;
- Documentation of economic and industrial elements;
- Knowledge management;
- Local, national and international market researches.
The EMTTU has already undertaken a line of important projects relevant to its profile. Among its staff are experienced collaborators working independently or in teams.
