The University of Ljubljana was established in 1919. It is a comprehensive university incorporating 22 faculties, three academies, and one college. It has cooperated in several EU projects under the 5th, 6th and 7th FP as well as many other researches and the development and educational projects financed by the European Union (TEMPUS, ERASMUS, Leonardo da Vinci, DAPHNE, Safer Internet, eLearning, eTEN). The Faculty of Social Sciences has become Slovenia’s largest and most prestigious social science centre. Its Institute of Social Sciences includes 18 research centers which initiate and conduct basic, applied and developmental research projects while the Centre for Methodology and Informatics is one of its largest research centers (http://cmi.si) focused on social science methodology, particularly survey methodology, multivariate analysis, network analysis, analyses of specific sociological topics related to the ICT, Internet, mobile phones, youth and literacy, etc.
